Making Sales Easy
Sell items simply and intuitively. Scan the barcode on the back of the book, either the publishers ISBN or the one created in Basil, and the book or miscellaneous item is shown automatically. Sell anything; CDs, DVDs, or even consignment items. Use UPC barcodes for misc items that you sell in your store. Create easy to remember codes for selling items such as coffee (CO), news papers (NP) or post cards (PC).
Credit Card Integration
Process credit cards from within Basil. We have integrated with Merchant Warehouse, one of the leading online credit card processing companies. We provide secure, timely credit card transaction to improve the speed of your sales operations.
Automatically Apply Customer Credit
Select a customer during the point of sale and credit is automatically deducted. No calculators or 3x5 cards are required. All the information is managed for you within the system. The credit given for items brought into the store is recorded for each customer and then it can be applied automatically during the point of sale. Configure rules for your store that determine what kind and how much credit can be used for certain kinds of inventory.
Manage Accounts Receivable
Allow customers to create accounts that can be invoiced each month. Create a cash account where a customer deposits money into their account and then can draw down that amount in sales. Or create a credit account where a customer can run up a "tab" in your store. Basil creates invoices for these customers and allows you to process payments for these accounts. Parents can create cash accounts for the children and many schools and churches may want to buy on credit and pay at the end of the month.
Sale Transactions
Allow customers to use cash, check, credit or gift cards all within a single transaction. Track credit card transactions for Visa, American Express, Discover or Master Card.
Sale Discounts
Configure customers to receive automatic discounts. Select the customer and the discount is automatically applied. Manually assign discounts for the whole sale or specific line items. Dollar discounts or percentage discounts are available for all. Configure frequent buyer discounts per customer based on sales dollars or sales quantities.
